LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – The Child and Youth Advocacy is proud to announce its selection as a recipient of the West Virginia First Foundation’s (WVFF) inaugural Opportunity Grant.
The grant, totaling $107,743, will be used to support the expansion of critical trauma-informed care for children and their non-offending caregivers in Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas Counties. This funding allows the Child and Youth Advocacy Center to expand their center, adding two additional offices, a secondary bathroom, and increasing overall service capacity and space.
“We are deeply grateful to the West Virginia First Foundation for believing in our vision and supporting our work,” said Francesca Zarcone, Executive Director. “This grant begins to fund a much-needed addition to the CYAC’s center. We have outgrown our space and need more room to allow us to properly serve our counties and communities.
