First, the RBC choir will present a musical entitled The Road to Calvary, A Journey of Grace and Resurrection on Palm Sunday during the regular morning service at 11 a.m. It will be presented again during the Ronceverte Holy Week services sponsored by the Ronceverte Ministerial Association on Wednesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. This beautiful, moving cantata is directed by Sally Parker and narrated by Pastor Ken Hawes. The choir members are Artie Baker, Rhonda Childers, Janice Deem, Courtney Elmore, Seth Elmore, Ken Hawes, Michelle Jones, Tom Moretz, Bryan Morgan, Susan Morgan, Katrina Rutherford, Amber Sanford, Dreama West, Karen West and Angel Williams.
The second event sponsored by the church is a community Easter egg hunt at the Ronceverte Island Park on Saturday, April 19, from noon to 2 p.m. (registration at noon and egg hunt at 1). In addition to the egg hunt, there will be prizes, food, games, inflatables and the Easter Bunny will be present. Everything is free!
Organizers said, “But most important of all is our Easter Sunday worship service at 11 a.m.” Pastor Ken Hawes and the congregation invite everyone (especially if you do not have a church home) to attend this celebration of the savior’s resurrection on Easter Sunday.
Please consider attending any or all of these events. The church is located at the corner of Main Street and Locust Street.
