SINKS GROVE W.Va. (WVDN) – The fun continues at The Hunkerdown, with the next jam on Sunday, April 13. Join us for an afternoon of music and great food. Doors open at 3 p.m. for dinner, and the jam session will run from 4–6 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
If you play an acoustic instrument or sing, grab a chair in the music circle. If you prefer to listen, we have a seat for you, too. You can tap your toes and sing along! Jammin’ at the Hunkerdown is all about community and music – traditional, Celtic, jam-friendly original material, and Appalachian, which includes a wide range of genres such as ballads, bluegrass, blues, country, gospel, mountain, and old-time. Acoustic instruments only, please.
The Hunkerdown always offers something yummy for dinner at the jams, along with assorted baked goods and signature coffee drinks. This time, chef Tammy will be serving Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup, as well as Ox Tail soup. Both will come with cornbread croutons. Spring pastries and floral-inspired mocktails will also be available!
The Hunkerdown is at 110 Fort Springs Road in Sinks Grove, WV. For more information, contact Cheryl Mansley at cherylmansley@gmail.com or 304-702-0554, or visit ArtBeat of the Mountains on Facebook.
