DAWSON W.Va. (WVDN) – A man has been arrested in Greenbrier County for the alleged possession of child pornographic images. The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department released the following statement:
“The Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, through a joint investigation with the West Virginia State Police ICAC (internet crimes against children) Task Force, arrested one Christopher Scott Adwell, 45 years of age, of the Dawson area of Greenbrier County, for the possession of child pornographic images. Deputies of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the West Virginia State Police, Lewisburg Police Department, Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and multiple other law enforcement agencies, participated in this investigation. Adwell was arrested, arraigned, placed on $30,000 bond, and transported to Southern Regional Jail. This is an ongoing investigation.
“The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind parents and guardians to be hypervigilant about who their children talk to on the internet, social media, Snapchat and other forms of communication.”
