RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) – On Monday, March 31, 2025, at 2:40 p.m., Sergeant S. A. Murphy responded to the Kroger in Rainelle for a bomb threat. Upon Sgt. Murphy’s arrival, management had already evacuated the store. Kroger received a phone call from a private number and a male voice stated that a pipe bomb was inside the store and that it would be detonated if he was not given an undisclosed amount of cash.
