Mary Susan (Mary Sue) Ramsey Judy
Mary Susan (Mary Sue) Ramsey Judy, 84, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, surrounded by love, after a brief illness.
A woman of deep faith, Mary Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched countless lives during her 26 years as a beloved teacher’s aide at Williamsburg Elementary School, where she nurtured and guided hundreds of kindergarten children with warmth and kindness.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she served her church with quiet devotion — preparing communion, placing the scarves, and teaching Sunday school for many years. A cherished member of the Williamsburg, WV community, she was known for her generosity, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for those around her.
Mary Sue was born to the late Susie Ellen Mace Ramsey Wade and the late Guy Frederick Ramsey. She was predeceased by her siblings, Carolyn Shortridge, Rebecca Ramsey, Roger Ramsey, and Rick Ramsey; as well as her sisters-in-law, Sharelle Judy Renick and Shelby Judy Cremeans.
On June 23, 1963, she married Clyde “Rusty” Judy, and together they built a life filled with love and dedication.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Rusty Judy; her children, Keith Judy and wife, Tammy, of Williamsburg and Karen Judy Simms and husband, William (Rus), of South Carolina; her adored grandchildren, Augusta, Blake, Abbi, Sunny, Katlyn, Janet, and Trace; and special family, Crystal Ortiz, Kalianna Campbell, Layla, and Desmond Booth.
She is also survived by her siblings, Freddy Ramsey and wife, Janet, of Maryland, David Ramsey and wife, Debra, of Renick, Joann Arthur of Florida, and Kenny Ramsey of Charleston.
Mary Sue’s legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services for Mary Sue will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Denver Tiller officiating. A private family interment will follow at the Judy Oaks Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends from 12 p.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hamrick, Will Ortiz, David Hamrick, Benjamin Walker, James Brown, Gary Hedrick, and Richard Lester.
