CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVDN) – The West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA) is pleased to announce the return of the West Virginia Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).
The SFMNP is designed to help low-income senior citizens access fresh, local fruit and vegetables. Seniors sign up for the vouchers at their county-level senior center. Applications will be available after June 1.
Farmers wishing to participate in the program should note that applications are currently available and due no later than April 15. Information and applications can be found at Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program: West Virginia Department of Agriculture (wv.gov).
