CLAY COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – A Clay County man has been arrested on allegations of child abuse. The West Virginia State Police released the following statement:
“On Saturday, March 22, 2025, Tpr. C. A. Lane received a call from the Summersville Detachment in reference to a suspected child abuse which occurred in Clay County. Tpr. Lane was advised that the infant, being 3 months old, was receiving urgent medical care at Summersville Memorial ER. Tpr. Lane observed evidence on the infant consistent with child abuse. The biological mother, Raven Golding, was present at the hospital and advised Tpr. Lane, that she met the infant’s stepmother Jerri Ferrebee in a custody exchange. Ms. Golding stated she received the infant in this condition and immediately transported the infant to the emergency room. Ms. Golding further stated that the infant’s father, Timothy Ferrebee (42-year-old male from Bomont, WV), lived in Camp Creek in Clay County. A follow up investigation was conducted which resulted in Timothy Ferrebee being charged with Child Abuse Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and Strangulation. The infant remains in critical condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.”
