GROVES
Jenny Jane Groves, age 68, of Ronceverte, WV passed away Thursday, April, 8 2021 following a long illness at the Peyton Hospice House.
Jenny was preceded in death by her father, Foster “Fuzzy” Walkup; mother, Virginia Jenny Walkup; daughter, Lisa Caroll Groves; and special aunt, Lucy Ninny Carol.
She was a nurse for 43 years; she started her career in Daytona Beach, FL and retired at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Jenny loved cooking huge meals for friends and family, gardening, the beach, her three beloved cats, and most of all: her family.
She is survived by her son, Jason Groves (Sarah Beth Nickell); daughter-in-law, Amanda Groves; sister, Kandy Hansard (Barry); grandchildren, Chelsea Black (Nathan Patton), Travis Kirk (Kristen), Angelisa, and Jenna Groves (Jason); great-grandchildren, Aiden and Desmond Kirk; and many friends that were considered family.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021 at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, they ask a donation be made to the Peyton Hospice House at 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV.
McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of the arrangements.
