BRAXTON W.Va. (WVDN) – The body of a 36-year-old woman was found in a rural area of Braxton County on Monday, March 17. The West Virginia State Police released the following information:
“On March 17, 2025, Troopers from the West Virginia State Police Sutton Detachment recovered the body of an unidentified female in a rural area of Vernon in Braxton County. Through further investigation, the deceased was positively identified as 36-year-old Belinda Dawn Riffle of Braxton County. This investigation remains ongoing and is being treated as a homicide.
