PETERSBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – An ATV accident in Grant County resulted in one child losing his life and left two others injured. The West Virginia State Police released the following information:
“On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at approximately 7:15 pm, Corporal Charles S. Hartman responded to an ATV crash on a power-line right of way in the Petersburg area of Grant County. While enroute, Grant County Emergency Communications advised three juveniles were being transported to the hospital, as result of this crash. Upon arrival, Corporal Hartman observed a 2023 Can-Am Defender ATV on its side. EMT’s on scene advised there were three injured juveniles; the youngest, being a 4-year-old male, who were in critical condition. While still on scene, the Grant County Medical Examiner advised the 4-year-old male had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at Grant Memorial Hospital.”
