Judith Nugen Murray
Judith Nugen Murray, 88, was born on November 20, 1936, and went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering faith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Violet Wilson; daughter, Rita Trent; son, Timothy Murray (Kathy); and son, Carl Murray (Joanna); fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and extended family who will forever hold her in their hearts.
With a heart full of compassion, she dedicated her life to serving others. Her devotion to family was unmatched, selflessly being the sole caregiver for her mother, Alma Nugen, for 14 years. Serving her church community, she translated sign language for the hearing impaired, ensuring that everyone could experience the joy and connection of worship. She sang in the church choir, using her voice to glorify the Lord, and lovingly played the piano, filling the room with warmth and grace. A faithful steward of all her blessings, she actively supported missions throughout her life, believing in the importance of spreading the Gospel near and far.
Judith was a woman of many talents, known for her skills in gardening and canning. She worked diligently as a medical transcriptionist for 50 years, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail. She was a skilled cook and lovingly prepared comforting meals that brought loved ones together, fostering lasting memories.
Her vibrant spirit and radiant smile brought warmth to every room she entered. She wholeheartedly expressed her love to those dear to her, always ready with a hug that could heal any heart. Her wonderful sense of humor made life’s moments even sweeter, and it was that very joy that made her and her husband, Talmadge Murray, the perfect match. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, faith, and devotion.
In her final years, the compassionate staff at Hidden Valley Nursing Home cared for her with love and kindness, embracing her as one of their own. The family is deeply grateful for their warmth and dedication.
She was preceded in death by those who went before her into eternal life: her beloved husband of 38 years, Talmadge Murray; her daughter, Karla Murray; son-in-law, Randall Trent; grandson, Michael Murray; brother, William Nugen; brother, Elsworth Nugen; and beloved parents.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family and friends take comfort in knowing that she is rejoicing in Heaven, whole and at peace.
