POINT PLEASANT W.Va. (WVDN) – One person has been arrested in an arson investigation after a Point Pleasant home burned. The West Virginia State Police released the following information:
“On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Trooper First Class J.L. Cavender and Corporal R.S. Minor responded to Tanglewood Drive in Point Pleasant, Mason County, WV in reference to a structure fire. Through their investigation, it was determined the suspect, Tyler Allen Crump (32-year-old male from Point Pleasant, WV), ignited a fire within the occupied residence. The occupants/victims were able to exit the residence without injury. The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office arrived on scene to assist in the investigation. The accused was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Arson and three (3) counts of Attempted Murder.”
