ARBAUGH

Sandra Kave Cadle Arbaugh, 69, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 16, 1951 at Richwood, she was the daughter of the late James Everet Cadle and Glenna Llewellyn Simms Cadle of Grassy Meadows.

Sandy attended school at Smoot and graduated from Greenbrier West High School in 1969. In earlier years, Sandy was employed at Aides Discount Store, Miller Implement, The Greenbrier, and most recently, the City of Lewisburg, from where she retired. Sandy was a terrific cook and baker, enjoyed vacationing at the beach, and loved gardening and working with flowers. Sandy was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church at Dawson.

Sandy leaves behind her husband of thirty years, Joseph Michael “Mike” Arbaugh of Lewisburg; son, Chad Bryant (Diane) of Pennsylvania; daughter, Chandra Bryant of Tennessee; grandson, Dawson Flack of Tennessee; sister, Susan Hutsenpiller (David) of Smoot; niece, Sybil Rodes (Chad) of Smoot; aunt, Loretta Cadle of Smoot; a great-niece and great-nephews; in-laws; cousins; as well as her four-legged furry family, Bristol and Brisket.

A casual visitation wearing your favorite WVU Mountaineer apparel is scheduled at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg on Tuesday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a memorial service to follow with Pastor Vince Deeds officiating. CDC guidelines for gatherings will be followed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or visit www.stjude.org.

McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
