Mon Power will be conducting an extensive planned power outage on March 31. The outage is slated to begin at 7:30 a.m. and last until 3:30 p.m.
The areas affected include Alderson, Ashbury, Lewisburg, Renick, Maxwelton, Frankford, Auto, Caldwell, Buckeye, Friars Hill, Clintonville, Crawley, Hillsboro and Williamsburg.
According to a social media post from the city of Lewisburg, the downtown area, Fairlea, WVSOM and the Greenbrier County Courthouse will not be impacted by this planned outage. However, Greenbrier Valley Industrial Park and the Lewisburg Water Plant will be affected.
In the event of inclement weather, this outage will be rescheduled. The make-up date would be April 7, 2021.
Anyone that will be affected by the planned outage will receive the following automated message: “Hello, this is from Mon Power. On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, there will be a planned power outage to upgrade facilities. The outage will affect customers in the vicinity of Alderson, Ashbury, Auto, Buckeye, Caldwell, Clintonville, Crawley, Frankford, Friars Hill, Hillsboro, Lewisburg, Maxwelton, Renick, Williamsburg. If you are receiving this message, you will experience a service interruption from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the planned outage will be rescheduled for Wednesday, April 7. If you have any questions please call 800-686-0022. Mon Power thanks you for your patience and understanding while we perform this work to improve your electric service reliability.”
