GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department swore in the new Chief Deputy on Jan. 28. The department released the following statement:
“Greenbrier County Sheriff Bart Baker is pleased to announce that Chief Deputy Joshua Martin was officially sworn in on Tuesday, Jan. 28, by the Honorable Patrick Via, Circuit Judge of Greenbrier County. Chief Martin has been with the Sheriff’s Office since April of 2023 and holds the permanent rank of captain. Chief Martin served as Chief Deputy under Sheriff Sloan’s administration as well.”
Sheriff Baker said, “Chief Martin has served the Sheriff’s Office honorably, faithfully, and with distinction for over 20 years, he did an outstanding job for Sheriff Sloan and has my full faith and confidence. I look forward to working with Chief Martin to provide the best possible services to the citizens and visitors of Greenbrier County.”
