We are thrilled to announce that Backroads of Appalachia (BOA) is partnering with the U.S. Forest Service in the Monongahela National Forest to host this portion of the highly anticipated statewide 2025 West Virginia Tread Lightly! Day on September 20, 2025.
About the Event:
Tread Lightly! Day WV, in its third consecutive year, is an event run by Jerry Bain and the Country Roads Coalition (CRC) to promote sustainable motorized recreation and stewardship in service to public lands. This grassroots event is for West Virginia, by West Virginia, and is a collaborative effort to both educate and involve the community in taking care of the treasures that are part of this wild and wonderful state.

Our commitment to conservation and sustainable recreation aligns seamlessly with this event’s goals, ensuring a meaningful and impactful day for all participants.
