GHENT, W.Va. (WVDN) – Winterplace Ski Resort, West Virginia’s largest Snow Tubing Park and favorite ski and snowboard destination, invites families to hit the slopes for its third Annual Family Fest featuring a weekend-long celebration on Saturday, January 25 through Sunday, January 26.
Families can enjoy exciting snow events for all ages including a Mini Big Air freestyle competition at the resort’s Heaven Holler Terrain Park, family ski race, face painting, food trucks and a tap takeover by Weathered Ground. Additionally, guests can enjoy live entertainment at the Snowdrift lounge featuring Analog Boy on Saturday and Randy Gilkey, Wes Lewis and Alex Bair on Sunday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The Mini Big Air and Family Race contests are open for all ages this year. Registration is from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the main resort on Saturday, January 25 and the race begins at 2 p.m. First-place prizes will be awarded. Free entry for both events with the purchase of a lift ticket.
Families are welcome to come out and enjoy the resort whether they participate or not. Winterplace will be open for skiing, boarding and tubing from 9 a.m. through 9 p.m. all weekend long.
