LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – At a ceremony in the Lewisburg City Council Chamber, Mayor Beverly White read and signed the proclamation of Lewisburg’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Week which is scheduled for the week beginning with Lewisburg’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration on Jan. 20.
Everyone in the photo is lending a hand with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration which will take place on Jan. 20. It will begin with a lively 11 a.m. march from the Greenbrier County Courthouse to the Lewisburg United Methodist Church for a free community lunch followed by a 12:30 p.m. program in the sanctuary. Before the march, Beverly White will read her Martin Luther King, Jr. Week proclamation to the people who gather at the courthouse. That will give them added inspiration for the whole event that day.
