One man arrested in Grantsville murder investigation

GRANTSVILLE W.Va. (WVDN) – One man has been arrested in relation to a murder investigation in Granstville. The West Virginia State Polie released the following information:

“On Saturday, December 28, 2024, at approximately 8:28 am, Trooper C. A. Lane and Trooper L. E. Whitt were advised of a shooting incident off of Pine Creek Road in Grantsville, WV by the Calhoun County Emergency Operations Center. Calhoun County Sheriff Graham Knight was the first law enforcement officer on scene. He arrived at approximately 8:59 a.m. and found 51-year-old Jodee Tribioli of Grantsville, WV and 71-year-old Carole Heagy of Mount Gretna, Pa deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Two additional victims, 55-year-old Steve Tribioli of Grantsville, WV and 66-year-old Claude Heagy of Mount Gretna, Pa had also suffered apparent gunshot wounds but were still alive.

“Upon Trooper Lane and Trooper Whitt’s arrival, Sheriff Knight turned the investigation over to the West Virginia State Police. Investigators were able to identify 28-year-old, Noah Richard Tribioli, of Columbia, Pa as a suspect. Investigators also discovered Noah Tribioli was Steve Tribioli’s son.

“A statewide Be On the Look Out “BOLO” was put out by the West Virginia State Police- South Charleston Communications Section for Noah Tribioli and his vehicle. Noah Tribioli was located and apprehended by Senior Trooper L. L. Cox near Hico, in Fayette County, WV.

“WVSP Crime Scene units responded to the scene of this incident to assist with processing the crime scene. Additional WVSP Crime Scene units responded to process Noah Tribioli’s vehicle. 

“Noah Tribioli was arrested and arraigned on two (2) counts of First-Degree Murder, two (2) counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, two (2) counts of Malicious Wounding, and two (2) counts of Attempt to Commit a Felony. He was remanded to the Southern Regional Jail without bond.

“Both male victims were transported to Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville, WV and then transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center- General Division to undergo surgery for their injuries. Steve Tribioli is listed as being in Critical condition. Claude Heagy is listed as being in stable condition. The status of this investigation remains active and ongoing.”
