GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier County Commission met on Dec. 18 in regular session. The meeting opened with the prelude followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The meeting was then called to order by Tammy Tincher and the approval of the minutes from the last meeting was called for. Tincher pointed out that the Commissioners each had a copy of the minutes to look over.
Fiduciary supervisor Cynthia Alley presented 11 estates for settlement.
There were no exonerations, splits or consolidations to consider at this meeting.
Among the arts and recs transfers from savings to checking were The Meadow River Trail for $303.75, Mountaineer Clay Crushers for $9,200 and Friends of the White Sulphur Springs Fish Hatchery for $2,100. In total, $11,603.75 was transferred.
Tincher brought up the issue of paying the bills that had been received over the eight days since the last meeting.
It was unanimously accepted to receive the separation of employment for Cynthia Alley from the Greenbrier Fiduciary Office. Her employment began on Sept. 23, 2019, and will end on Dec. 30, 2024.
Up for consideration as the new hire for fiduciary supervisor was Mary Ingles. Ingles has been training and passed her exams to hold the position. It was noted she has done a good job for the county in her role as a permitting specialist. Tincher said that this job would be different but that Ingles is more than capable.
Greenbrier County EPA is seeking public participation in the 2025 comprehensive plan. They want to update it and sign a contract. The motion passed unanimously.
Don Haven spoke on behalf of Greenbrier County EMS to request $3,007.82. The funds will be taken out of the first responders’ salary enhancement fund. The motion passed unanimously.
Lowell Rose will be the new Commission President when the new term starts in January.
The courthouse will be closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
