MORGAN COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – A teacher in Morgan County has been arrested following an investigation into the abuse of a 6-year-old girl. The West Virginia State Police released the following information:
“On Wednesday, December 12, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m., Sergeant Smith responded to the Widmeyer Elementary School, in reference to an assault complaint, received from the Morgan County Board of Education.
“Through the investigation, Sergeant Smith learned that on Monday, December 10, 2024, Mrs. Jazmyn Rohrer (Teacher), physically assaulted a 6-year-old female student.
“Following an investigation Sergeant Smith was able to obtain felony arrest warrants for three counts of Child Abuse creating a substantial risk of injury. Mrs. Rohrer was arrested and arraigned on this date in Morgan County and released on bail.”
