RONCEVERTE W.Va. (WVDN) – Stephen Joseph Kressley, 35, of Ronceverte, was arrested on Dec. 8 after police were called to Ronceverte Baptist Church regarding a man who had shown up during services.
According to the criminal complaint, Police arrived at Ronceverte Baptist Church where they were able to identify the person in question as Kressley. The document also states that church personnel informed the responding officer that the person identified as Kressley had been disrupting the service and put churchgoers in “apprehension and fear for their safety.” Allegedly, church officials asked Kressley to leave multiple times before officers arrived.
Reportedly, officers removed Kressley from the scene, shortly after which EMS arrived and transported Kressley to CAMC Greenbrier Valley Emergency Room. The criminal complaint states that, at this point, officers were informed that Kressley had outstanding warrants. When police arrived at the hospital where Kressley had been taken, they discovered that he had allegedly caused a problem with emergency room staff.
At the time of writing Kressley is in Southern Regional Jail with bail set at $15,000. He is facing multiple charges including disorderly conduct.
