CHARMCO- Back in September, Greenbrier West star outfielder Maddie Fields decided she wanted to play softball at WVU Potomac State and shut down her recruitment.
On December 13, at the friendly confines of Greenbrier West High School, she officially signed her national letter of intent and became a Catamount.
Fields still has a senior year to play beginning this March and is currently running the floor for the Lady Cavaliers basketball team. She had this to say in September when she verbally committed to Potomac State.
“There were several factors that played into my decision to choose WVU Potomac State. They have a very accomplished softball program. They have several NJCAA All American players and they’ve made it to the NJCAA Division II World Series and have had some stellar season records. The part I really liked was the coaching staff and the players. They made me feel welcome and like I could be a big part of their future success. I liked the campus, cost, and class sizes,” Fields explained.
