CHAPMANVILLE W.Va. (WVDN) – A family is suffering the loss of a 2-year-old child after an accidental shooting in Chapmanville. The West Virginia State Police released the following statement:
“On Saturday, December 14, 2024, West Virginia State Police Sergeant T. D. Boggs responded to the report of an accidental shooting involving a 2-year-old juvenile on Madison Street, in Chapmanville, WV. The victim was transported by the Logan Emergency Ambulance Service Authority to the Logan Regional Medical Center whereupon arrival he was pronounced deceased. Christina Bryant, Medical Examiner, responded and confirmed the victim would be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy. The West Virginia State Police Crime Scene Response Team also responded and conducted the crime scene investigation. This investigation is ongoing.”
