FAIRLEA W.Va. (WVDN) – A special worship service designed for those who find the Christmas season challenging due to grief and other emotional pain is set for Sunday, Dec. 22, at 5 p.m., at Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene in Fairlea.
According to Pastor Terry Simpkins, “Our hope service seeks to help those who struggle through the holiday season. It could be for the one who finds Christmas difficult due to the loss of loved ones. We believe Christmas was uniquely placed at the time of the shortest days to signify the anticipation of better and brighter days coming.”
The service will feature communion (open to all), candlelight, and seasonal music. Attendees are asked to park in the upper lot of the church campus and enter through the main (west) entrance into the sanctuary.
Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene is located at 167 Dawkins Dr., one-half mile south of CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, just off Davis Stuart Rd. in Fairlea.
