ALDERSON W.Va. (WVDN) – Firefighters were called to a structure fire on Riverview Ave. on Saturday, Dec. 7 around 12:25 p.m. When emergency responders arrived, they found two houses engulfed in flames.
According to Tri County Volunteer Fire Department, one of the responding agencies, both fires were fully extinguished around 8 p.m.
Multiple agencies responded to the fire with a total of 40 firefighters and 13 fire apparatus on scene. The departments represented included Alderson VFD, Tri County VFD, Ronceverte VFD, Clintonville VFD, Smoot VFD and the Town of Alderson Police Dept.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
