WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – On Thursday, Nov. 14, The Schoolhouse Hotel in White Sulphur Springs will proudly host Denim & Diamonds: a 35th Anniversary Celebration. The event will benefit Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity, which has dedicated 35 years of service to southeastern West Virginia. The organization’s mission is to build affordable homes with deserving families in Greenbrier County.
In addition to bingo, silent and live auctions, food and cocktails, guests of the event will have an opportunity to enjoy the musical stylings of the Thomas Taylor Band. Formed in 2017, the band is dedicated to preserving and continuing traditional country music. Having performed at venues from Carnegie Hall’s Ivy Terrace to Frankford’s Autumnfest just to name a few and attending the Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry for an award nomination in 2022, the group is well-known for their fun-loving style and foot-tapping rhythm.
“We are very excited to be performing at this event,” says Thomas Taylor. “Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful organization and we hope to get a lot of people to come out and support the event.” When asked what type of music will be played, Taylor confirmed the band will be playing a mix of traditional country and western swing. Guests can expect to enjoy a live performance at both the beginning of the evening and the conclusion of the event.
Every dollar raised at this benefit will directly contribute to Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity and their mission to provide safe and affordable housing to those in need.
