GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – UPDATE: According to a statement posted to Facebook by one of the mothers, Miranda Boswell, the girls have been located.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Two teenagers aged 14, Bella Boone and Lydia McNeely are considered missing as of 6 a.m. this morning, Oct. 21, according to Lindsey Boone, Bella’s mother.
Lindsey Boone stated that Bella was picked up sometime in the early morning, around approximately 1 a.m., on the Lewisburg side of Muddy Creek Mountain, along with Lydia from her home in Alderson. The parents think that a man over the age of 18, Cole Loftin picked them up, according to Lindsey Boone.
Boone stated that it is believed that Loftin picked up the girls in the early morning and took them to Noah Vadiz’s house, which is on Teaberry Road in Ronceverte. A church on Teaberry Road is reportedly their last known location. Boone said a bloodhound tracked the girls to this church on Teaberry.
When Vadiz was questioned by police he allegedly said, “They left on foot about 7 a.m. this morning, to run away.” The parents believe this is not true. The girls’ parents are asking anyone to check their security cameras, that live in the vicinity of Teaberry Road. A $1,000 reward is now being offered for their safe return.
Boone also stated that her daughter, Bella is without medication she must take daily.
WVDN reached out to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, but no one was available by phone as of the time of publishing.
