Frances Arminta Hanna, 54, of Alderson, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 1, 1965, in Union, WV, and was a daughter of Noah Ivan Carter and the late Delorise A. Vance Carter of Alderson.

Frances was a 1983 graduate of Union High School. She worked as a personal caregiver, doing what she enjoyed the most. She loved her children and family with her whole heart. She will be remembered as selfless, loving person who always thought of everyone before herself. Frances also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening in her yard. She was a devoted member of the Grace Bible Church.

Frances is survived by her father, Noah Ivan Carter (Gladys) of Alderson; her son, Christopher Hanna of Alderson; daughter, Tori Nicole Hanna (companion Adam Crouse) of Alderson; her brother, Lee Carter (companion Amanda Hedrick) of Alderson; her sister, Tracy Carter Mines of Beckley, WV; grandchildren, Noah Dozier and Mia Gilbert, both of Alderson; her nieces, Alexa Preston (Lucas) of Second Creek, WV, and Casey Buzzard Pond (Moses) of Alabama; and her nephews, Jon Carter (companion Lisa Pyne) of Alderson, and Payton Carter (Stephanie) of North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.

Family and friends are welcome to call at Grace Bible Church, 11483 Alta Dr., Asbury, WV 24916, on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, from noon until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Mike Teubert officiating. A reception will follow at the Mountain View Baptist Church on Flat Mountain Road in Alderson.

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at lobbanfh.com.

Lobban Funeral Home in Alderson is in charge of arrangements.
