Michael Wallace “Mick” Morgan, also known as “Green,” age 78, of Callaghan, VA, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020.
Born on November 16, 1941, in Ronceverte, WV, he was the son ofJoseph Edward and Edith Marie Bennett Morgan.
Mick was a loving father and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was most happy when he was on a mountain or in the woods with his hunting buddies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Morgan; and a grandson, Brandon Wilson.
He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Morgan of West Columbia, WV, Tonya Coleman (Rick Sr.) of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Edith Wade of Sinks Grove, WV; sister, Joyce Morgan of Ronceverte; brothers, Gary Morgan (Priscilla) of Staunton, VA, and Phil Morgan of Ronceverte; grandsons, Mickey Blankenship, Ricky Coleman Jr. (Tiffany) and Cole Wade; granddaughters, Audra Rue, Adrian Spitz, Jessica Vandall (Eugene), Alisha Vance (Clayton), Jordan Morgan, and Abby, Hannah and Morgan Wade; great-grandchildren, Zachariah and Bryce Vance, Hayden, Aubrey, and Bentley Morgan, Isaiah, Alexus, Lillian, Emma, and Davina Coleman, and Nirvona, Mercede, Landyn, Icyss, and Timber Vandall; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at the Greenbrier Baptist Church on Morgan Hollow Road in Ronceverte, with his nephew, Johnathan Morgan, officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
Ricky “Hammer” Coleman, Ryan “Bign” Wilhelm, Gary “Coon Skinner” Wilhelm, David “Sheep Hearder” Shoemaker, Richard “Quick” Anderson, Mark Honaker, Erskin “Erk” Greys, and David “White” Wickline will serve as pallbearers. Charlie “Farmer” McNeil, Mack “Mack” Preston, and Larry “One Shot” Bartley will be honorary pallbearers.
