FAIRLEA- It was quite an impressive home opener for the Greenbrier East Lady Spartans as they took the field against their biggest rivals, the Woodrow Wilson Lady Flying Eagles in front of a good-sized crowd.
After controlling the ball for much of the evening, it was the Spartans who came away with an important 3-0 victory and ran their record to 3-0 on this young season as well.
Kiana McClung scored a goal for East as did Caroline Dotson who got an assist from Ryan White, and Ella Lewis got the other Spartan score on which Dotson picked up the assist.
East is back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Princeton.
