WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – On July 5 and 6 the class of 1965 had a “Celebration of Life” in the Schoolhouse Hotel of White Sulphur Springs West Virginia. We had a fabulous time. We started out up on the rooftop until the storm arrived.
The owners were so hospitable to all of us and assured us we would be able to continue our celebration of getting to know each other again in our old gym. It was so beautiful. They set up tables, chairs and a bar to order some yummy, hot food. We could mingle and relax during the storm. The staff welcomed us with smiles and accomodations. Our special friends and classmate Jack Honaker and wife Marsha came all the way from Kansas.
Most of us stayed at the Schoolhouse Hotel Friday Night. The chefs and staff prepared us with a brunch Saturday the Southern way, large biscuits, scrambled eggs and sausage, bacon and hash-browns. We had a fantastic time sharing stories and taking pictures. We were known as “The Greatest Senior Class Alive 1965.” Thank you for fulfilling our wish,
Louanna Mazey
