LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – On June 29 the Lewisburg detachment of the West Virginia State Police received a call from an individual stating she was scared because a man had driven up her driveway, got out and proceeded to remove his clothes. She went on to say she didn’t know this man. He kept standing in her driveway, which was in the vicinity of Midland Trail in Lewisburg.
The responding officer traveled to the residence and through the gate and reportedly immediately identified the accused, Kenneth Hoke, standing completely naked by his vehicle in the victim’s driveway. According to the criminal complaint, the officer ordered Hoke to put his pants back on and he did so. The officer discovered the car key in Hoke’s pants pocket. Hoke reportedly informed the officer he had taken meth earlier In the day. He also informed the officer someone by the name of “Satan” told him to go to this house and take his clothes off.
The officer transported Hoke to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center for a consensual blood draw and then to WVSP Lewisburg Detachment for processing. Hoke completed a Mirandized DUI information sheet. He reportedly stated that questions regarding when he had last slept or eaten were hard to answer. He also allegedly told the officer he had taken LSD, heroin and meth early that morning. Hoke advised that he usually took heroine by “boofing” it or shooting it into his genitals, smoking it, or eating it. He reportedly advised officers he was at the dollar store in Fairlea where he purchased sausages then went to the residence where he was found naked.
The officer noted a previous indecent exposure charge from June 22 and had himself responded to a call on June 26, in which a complainant contacted Greenbrier County Dispatch about a naked man. The man was identified as Kenneth Hoke but was clothed by the time the officer arrived.
Hoke is charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, controlled substances or drugs, one count of trespassing on property other than structure or conveyance and one count of indecent exposure.
