WILLIAMSBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Everyone is invited to join the volunteers of the Williamsburg Museum for a hot dog and ice cream luncheon celebrating the birthday of West Virginia on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Special guests this year are area home businesses. Many people in the area started their home-based businesses during the early COVID-19 crisis and continue to operate their businesses out of their homes. Organizers invite all to come and set up displays of their products and their businesses.
The West Virginia Day celebration is a time to share the enjoyment of history with neighbors and friends and enjoy hot dogs, chili, cobbler, ice cream and assorted drinks.
This year’s flag-raising will be hosted by the Renick VFW. Local authors will be there to present their newest books and there will be presentations about authors and friends who have passed.
Music will be provided by local musicians in a bluegrass jam style so anyone can join in if they bring along their instruments.
There is no charge for the party, it’s all about sharing and supporting the Williamsburg historic community and museum.
The Museum in Williamsburg is located at 965 Williamsburg Road.
