GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – Members of the Greenbrier Artists won several awards in the Dandelion Festival Art show at the White Sulphur Library. Including Shari O’Day Mann, Karen Lee McClung, Marietta Lyall, Shelby Oreolt and M.J. Oref.
Also, the art group has been active on Thursdays at Carnegie Hall with demos by John Telisko on painting skies in oil, a watercolor discussion by Jeanne Brenneman, and a 3-D neurographic art demo by Cyla Allison.
In June, the group will be making handmade paper and then using that and other materials to design a collage. A plein air painting day near the river is in the works as well.
Watch for more information about the Greenbrier Artists’ show entitled “Every Painting Tells a Story” this summer at the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. The group celebrates 50 years in 2024 and will be planning a wonderful annual exhibit also in October.
Greenbrier Artists, a non-profit art group, meets each week at Carnegie Hall to paint together, learn new techniques, and promote art in the community.
