Billy was a master carpenter and locksmith. He worked as the head locksmith at The Greenbrier Hotel for 29 years. He was known for his love and dedication to his crafts. Billy took great pride in his work.

Billy’s legacy continues through his beloved wife, Norma Gabbert, of 55 years; his daughters, Sharon (Joey), Christina, and Leanne; grandchildren, Heather, Leonard, and Chevelle (Caleb); great-grandchildren, Madison, Kayden, and Piper; niece, Sandy; great-nieces, Lorie (Stephen) and Jessica (CJ); great-nephew, Douglas (Alicia); great-great-nieces and nephews, Jacob, Layla, Ivan, Harley, and Nevaeh; and great-great-great-nieces, Paisley, Memphis, and Mabel; adopted son that he never had, Tommy Fields (Samanthah), and their son, Jett.

Billy was a source of strength and unwavering support for his family, always putting their needs above his own. Although Billy will be deeply missed, he will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family would like to thank Joey, his son-in-law, for all the loving care he provided to Pops, and everyone who devoted care for Billy.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Alvon Living Word Church at 9414 Pocahontas Trail, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986 with Pastor Buck Caldwell officiating.
