Lewisburg, W.Va. (WVDN) — Following a month-long voting process, Lewisburg, W.Va., secured the 2024 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice for Best Small Town Food Scene. It is the second year in a row that Lewisburg has garnered top billing.

“Ten years ago, we moved to Lewisburg to become part of its thriving and eclectic food scene. Since then, Lewisburg has only grown bigger and better, with new cafes, coffee shops, artisan bread makers, growers, farmers, and just about everything a foodie would want,” Arthur Forgette and Deborah Porter, proprietors of The French Goat, shared. “We are proud to be part of this award-winning community.”

For the past two decades, the restaurant landscape in Lewisburg has grown exponentially. With more than 15 locally owned restaurants in Lewisburg, it’s easy to find a delicious meal full of flavor. The area’s restaurants’ unique culinary collective ranges from farm-to-table fresh, vibrant Latin flavors and Italian influences to bold Southern fare.

“To see Lewisburg recognized for the second year in a row is wonderful,” Kara D. Dense, president & CEO of Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), said. “It’s impressive for a town of less than 4,000 to have such a wide variety of restaurants.”

Lewisburg was one of 20 small towns across the United States nominated by a panel of experts, USA TODAY editors and contributors. But it came down to the support of Lewisburg’s dedicated foodie fans, locals, and visitors alike to help secure the win again. 10Best.com showcases travel content, including attractions, restaurants and destinations and is promoted by USA TODAY.
