MAXWELTON W.Va. (WVDN) – The Maxwelton Ruritan Club is sponsoring a community-wide Yard Sale on Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. As part of their service to the Maxwelton Community, the Ruritan Club will advertise and promote residents having a yard sale on May 4 at no cost to the sellers. The Ruritans will provide a map of each location of the sale. Maps will be available to pick up at the Marathon Little General Store on 219 or the Henning Church of God. Ads will be placed in local newspapers and signs will be placed throughout the community.

The club is seeking participants who live in the area to consider having yard sales on May 4. Also, if there are any other civic organizations, churches or youth groups, who want to participate with a car wash, bake sale or dinner, please contact ldbowman84@hotmail.com or follow the Maxwelton Area Community page on Facebook. We want to include that information on our map. The deadline to sign up is April 17 to be included in the map. Also, a limited number of tables are available at the Henning Church of God picnic shelter at no cost to the seller. The members are hopeful that this will be a community-wide event and will grow each year.
