WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – An endeavor by Breanna Vaughan and a dream come true, Wild Roots Salon joins the ranks of small businesses in White Sulphur Springs. Vaughan is a 2021 cosmetology graduate and an instructor at New River College. She started as a nail technician and decided to set out on her own, following in her mother’s footsteps. Wanting to branch out and be independent, she has thought long and hard about the name of her new venture. She pays homage to her beloved state being “Wild and Wonderful,” and as a West Virginia native, her roots are here. Together, her “Wild Roots” have been put down on Main Street, and she plans to grow quickly.
Wild Roots Salon offers full sets of acrylic nails, mani and pedi sessions for both men and women, haircuts, styling, perms, colors, hair tinsel (Fairy Hair), nail enhancements and men’s cuts. Her roots are planted at the former Sugar Bears in White Sulphur, with a darling pink paint job and a new barber pole. She plans to include dermaplaning and waxing and to hire more employees around May. She proudly uses Kenra hair care products, and her inventory will grow.
Business hours will vary for now, but the shop is open for walk-ins and appointments on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. She is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. by appointment only. Full-time hours will come along with her new hires near May. Interested individuals may reach Vaughan at 304-661-5831 to make an appointment or send an email to wildrootssalon2023@gmail.com. The salon is located at 719 E. Main St., White Sulphur Springs, WV.
