Laddie Allen Dixon passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at age 85 in his home at Renick, WV.
Born December 28, 1932, at Sunlight, WV, he was the son of Arthur and Virginia Bare Dixon.
Laddie graduated from Renick High School in 1952, was an Army veteran, and retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways.
He enjoyed spending time on the farm, hunting, and fishing, and greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Bonnie Gwinn, Sallie Olmstead, Lola Ray Viers, and Luwanda Viers; and brother, Arthur Dixon Jr.
Laddie is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Virginia Christine Clendenen Dixon; children, Mark Dixon (Rose), Debbie Dixon, Cindy Walton (Doug), and Brian Dixon (Lisa); grandchildren, Brad Dixon, Kayla Cordori, Adam Walton, Katie Walton, Brianna Dixon, and Max Dixon.He is also survived by siblings Bill Dixon, Frank Dixon, Sammie Bare (Margie), Edna Cochran, Peggy Reynolds, Sallie Blankenship (Alston), and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, on Sunday, June 17, 2018, from 2 – 4 p.m. Funeral service will follow, with Pastor Steve Barnette and Calvin Kelly officiating.
