FAIRLEA W.Va. (WVDN) – Earlier, West Virginia Daily News reported a police presence in the area of Fullens Trailer Park in Fairlea on the morning of Aug. 7. Greenbrier County Sheriff, Bruce Sloan, released the following statement on the situation.
“On Monday, August 7, 2023, at approximately 6:56 a.m., members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call of damage to a vehicle and a residential home in Fairlea, West Virginia. Upon arrival, officers determined that the sustained damage resulted from gunshots.
Officers have determined that an altercation occurred between multiple individuals and gunfire subsequently ensued. NOTE: Gunshots were reportedly heard at approximately 8:47 pm on Sunday evening, August 06, 2023. The affected homeowner was unaware of the damage to their home until the discovery this date. The homeowner is an innocent party with no involvement or connection to the altercation.
Members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Team are processing the scene for evidence and investigators are currently canvasing the neighborhood and conducting interviews.

The area of occurrence is the C and W Road #2 in Fairlea, West Virginia, which is located on the 219 South side across from the IGA and Frontier building.
