Leonard D. Sizemore

Leonard D. Sizemore, 90, of Ronceverte, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Leonard was born on Mother’s Day, May 14, 1933, in Covington, VA, and was the son of the late Herbert and Clara Hoke Sizemore.

In 1972, Leonard started Cherokee Termite and Pest Control Service. He was a member of the Lewisburg, WV, Rotary Club and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Other than his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by brothers, Leo (Virginia) Woodward Sizemore and Ivan (Louise) Lassiter Sizemore.

Survivors include his sister, Juanita (Sissy) Matney, of Atlanta, GA; wife, Nancy J. McClung Sizemore of Ronceverte, WV; daughter, Tonya (Ronald) R. Lambert of Mooresville, NC; sons, Van (Rose Marie Schneider) L. Sizemore of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Jan (Justin) W. Sizemore of Roanoke, VA, and Alexander (Jenny) Leonard Sizemore of Ronceverte, WV; grandchildren, Jared Sibert (Mary Wyrick) of Mooresville, NC, Zane Lambert of Mooresville, NC, Brandon (Heather Day) Lambert of Mooresville, NC, Summer Tucker, and Andrew Tucker, both of Ronceverte, WV; great-granddaughter, Annabelle Lee of Mooresville, NC.

A gathering of Leonard’s friends will be Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2828 S. Carpenter Drive, Covington, VA 24426, with Elder Elsid Frye officiating.
