RONCEVERTE, W.Va. (WVDN) – The city of Ronceverte held its municipal elections on Tuesday, June 6. Here are the unofficial results:
Leah Smith was reelected to a four-year term as city recorder.
Mark Trent, Ashley Guet and Tanya Hazelwood were each elected to a four-year term. Guet and Hazelwood were reelected to their posts, and Trent is a newcomer to the position.
According to Ronceverte Mayor Deena Pack, City Council will appoint the next two highest vote getters, Scott Vogelsong and Gail White, to the two open, 2-year terms.
Additionally, two levies passed: a streets levy and a cemetery levy.
The unofficial results for City Council are:
Mark Trent, 51 votes; Leah Sills (incumbent), 50 votes; Ashley Guet (incumbent), 31 votes; Tanya Hazelwood (incumbent), 28 votes; Scott Vogelsong (incumbent), 25 votes; Gail White (incumbent), 24 votes; Eric Mercer (incumbent), 17 votes.
For cemetery levy: 40 votes; against cemetery levy, 24 votes.
For street levy: 47 votes, against street levy: 17 votes.
