JoAnn “Eva” LeGoullon

JoAnn “Eva” LeGoullon, age 86, of Long Beach, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. LeGoullon; and son, Tony Scott LeGoullon.

JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Terry C Hall (Mark), Tina O Copeland, and Lia L. Fortenberry (Stacy); sister, Opal Jones; grandchildren, Sherry Michelle Ferguson, Jennie Lee May, Michael P. Smith, Christopher Copeland, Cahterine J. Copeland, and Ethan R. Haas; great-grandchildren, Blayne M. Phillips, Cole D. Ferguson, Reese T. Ferguson, Grant Q. May, Olivia N. May, Evelynn C. Smith, and Micah C. Haas.

She was born in Crumpler, WV, on May 11, 1936, to Kermit and Dossie Simmons. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard (Sonny) LeGoullon, and they had 4 children. A portion of her life was spent on the island of Oahu, in Hawaii. After Hawaii, she and Sonny spent time in California, before settling in Pass Christian, MS.

JoAnn loved to travel, read, do crosswords puzzles, and go for long walks. JoAnn was the happiest when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They affectionately called her “Gram”, “MeeMaw”, and “GG”. Her favorite memories were of shell hunting on the beaches of Hawaii with her loving husband and children. She was blessed to live a long life and was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.
