Billy Richard Sears, 52, of Frankford, WV, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at the Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV, following a short illness.
Billy was born in Union, WV, on October 20, 1963, the son of Anna Mae Sears and James Garfield Sears.
Billy graduated from Greenbrier East High School in Fairlea, WV, in 1981. He was employed at Lowe’s in Lewisburg, WV. Billy was known and has been described as a great friend, a great co-worker, and a great family man.
He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Lynn Sears; his beloved daughter, Brittany Lynn Sears; two beautiful granddaughters, Maddie Mae Barker and Quinn Adriana Barker of Frankford; his mother, Anna Mae Sears of Union; and sisters, Darlene Gee and husband, Jim, of Pulaski, VA, Linda Sears of Lewisburg, Anne Huffman of Princeton, WV, and Charlene Sears. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, James Garfield Sears; brothers, James “Junie” Sears Jr. and Ronnie Sears; and a sister, Debbie Hylton.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Monday, May 2, 2016, at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg. The Rev. Ron Miller will be officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at Wallace Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Family Refuge Center in Lewisburg.
McCraw Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
