Kayla Ann Dunbar, 25, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital.

Born May 21, 1990, at Ronceverte, Kayla was the daughter of Tammy Brooks and David R. Dunbar of Ronceverte.

Kayla loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting, but most of all, she loved her son, Conner. She was a nutritionist at The Seasons Assisted Living facility in Lewisburg, WV, a graduate of Ashworth University, and attended the Liberty House of Praise.

Kayla was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Fred Raymond Dunbar and Billy W. Brooks Sr.

Surviving Kayla are her 5-year-old son, Conner Ray Rothgeb; companion and father of her son, Donnie “D.J.” Rothgeb Jr. of White Sulphur Springs, WV; parents, David “Randy” and Tammy Brooks Dunbar of Ronceverte; sisters, Kristin Dunbar and companion, Damon Fugate, and Kelsey Dunbar and companion, Joshua Johnson of Ronceverte; grandmothers, Doris Dunbar of Ronceverte and Betty Brooks of Ronceverte; and niece, Baily Fugate of Williamsburg, WV.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Pastors Shelly Glass and Gary Dean officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery at Organ Cave, WV.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Greg Sampson, Jessie Simms, Kevin Simms, Colton Glass, Ryan Weikle, and Justin Weikle. Honorary pallbearer will be Carson Glass.
