William “Bill” Joseph Ramsey, 76, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born July 8, 1939, in Sinks Grove, WV, he was the son of Emery J. and Nannie C. Blake Ramsey.
Bill was a retired plumber, a member of the Ruritans and the Fairlea Volunteer Fire Department, and was in the Army National Guard with the Howitzer Unit in Ronceverte, WV.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Mae Evans Ramsey in March of 2011; sister, Emma Jean Sydenstricker; and brothers, Cecil, Lester, John, Frank, Richard, Bob, and Jim Ramsey.
Survivors include his daughter, Jeanne Lynn Isaacs and husband, Jeffrey, of Belleville, MI; sons, Brian Keith Ramsey and wife, Robin, of Waynesboro, VA, and Bruce William Ramsey and wife, Donna, of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Erin Lemine and husband, Lucas, Kurt Ramsey, Keith Ramsey, Heather Ramsey, Jake Isaacs, and Jett Isaacs; and brother, Ernie Ramsey and wife, Carol, of Roanoke, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, December 4, at the funeral home.
