Lewisburg – The Lewisburg Police Department is hiring for the position of patrolman. Applications will be accepted until Jan. 12.

Alderson – The West Virginia University Extension Office wants to create a walking program in Alderson. They are asking for the community’s help on the best way to go about this. There is a survey available for individuals to provide input. A QR code that links to the survey has been posted to the Alderson Main Street Facebook page or it can be found by going to alder so bridge.

Peterstown – Free COVID-19 testing is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Appalachian Christian Center in Peters Town between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Union – Free COVID-19 testing is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Church of God Fellowship Hall in Union between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Ronceverte – The Ronceverte Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held at the library and is open to the public.

Marlinton – The Marlinton Town Council is holding a meeting on Monday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. The meeting is available via teleconference. Login information is available on the town’s Facebook page.
