Man Arrested In Tolleytown On Multiple Charges

A Raleigh County man has been arrested on three felonies and multiple misdemeanors after an incident in Tolleytown over the weekend.

On Saturday, November 13, officers with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department arrested Charles David Tolley II, 42, according to a criminal complaint. Tolley had an active warrant for his arrest for the violation of a domestic violence petition.

As officers were attempting to place Tolley in handcuffs, he kicked two of them in their lower legs, the complaint states. A criminal history report showed that Tolley had two prior convictions in Raleigh County for battery on a police officer.

During additional investigation, officers discovered that Tolley had committed multiple crimes against victim(s) in the area, including breaking and entering, theft of a television receiver and damage to a vehicle.

Tolley has been charged with one count of felony burglary, two felony counts of battery on an officer-third offense, one misdemeanor count of obstructing an officer, one misdemeanor count of destruction of property, one misdemeanor count of petit larceny and one misdemeanor count of violation of a protective order.

He is at Southern Regional Jail on a $30,000 surety/cash bond.
